At Sydney Security Company, we know that Pub, Bars and Club owners will agree that their business has probably one of the highest risk of criminal incidences or public injuries in the hospitality industry.
There are many risks associated with running a pub, bar or nightclub, and being able to reduce the risk and liabilities are important to keeping the business afloat. It is thus crucial that all venues are equipped with the best security solutions to manage staff and patron risks, as well as being able to substantiate police reports and insurance claims.
Examples of the main security threats your business may experience throughout the course of your pub, bars and club business are:
alcohol inventory theft, false customer injury accusations, misbehaving staff, unforeseen OH&S accidents, equipment damage and/or theft, threatening customers, false accusations of negligent injuries, unexpected violence and/or robberies.
There are six main security areas that your pub, bar & club business may need to look at closely and consider implementing on your business location.

Real prices and security package examples of what we have installed for our club and bar customers.
Typical security installation plan involves the following:
Security Components:
One of the most common concerns that we hear from our bar and club clients are the importance of monitoring entrances and exits where faces of patrons are more clearly seen as well as their entry and exit times are important for circumstantial evidence.
We then work with the bar owner to evaluate all high risk areas that require surveillance monitoring such as outdoor seating areas, patron indoor drinking areas, dining areas, hidden hall ways, etc
Alcohol theft, inventory theft, money theft, or misbehaviour of staff are common concerns to bar and club owners. Placing a well positioned camera within storage areas will deter misbehaviour by staff.
On the other hand, the welfare of staff are just as important. Cameras are position in all bar areas and areas where staff will traffic to ensure any assault or threats are recorded on cctv.
All our CCTV packages come with a quality 19 inch monitor to allow back office staff to monitor common areas whether there is frequent supervision or not. All our packages also include remote viewing connection to your smartphone or tablet so you can monitor your business from anywhere, anytime.
A reliable alarm system will ensure that your business premise is well protected outside business hours. Ask about our mobile phone alert connection which will give the added comfort that you will be alerted should your business alarm has been set off.
Did you know, it is the responsibility of the venue owner to ensure the welfare and safety of the general public?
Common pub, bars and club incidences include: physical assault, illegal dealings of narcotics, unforeseen fire damage & burns, drunken violence, sexual assault, trips and slips from wet floor, staff violations, underage drinking and/or deliberate damages to furniture or equipment by a patron, are common examples of venue hazards. Most owners feel that installing an effective CCTV system, for example, can act as an deterrent for patron and staff misbehaviour, as well as, the ability to act on workplace hazards immediately as they see on their surveillance monitor.
Other notes to take into account for the installation process
While our team are trained to install our security equipment in all types of building structures, these are the common issues we encounter when performing an onsite inspection. So please advise on the phone with our sales representative if any of the following meets your situation, so we can draw up the most efficient way to install your security system with minimal time delays and disruptions to your business.
>Please let us know if you have suspended ceilings or a concrete ceiling. Also, please let us know if your walls are also gyprock or solid cement.
> If your premises do not have a manhole for our technician to perform cabling and wiring requirements in the ceiling or roof of your business, you may need to budget an extra small fee for possible conduit or external cabling requirements
> If your premises already have cabling in place from an old security system, please let us know so we can determine if the cables and wires are available for use on the new security system. Most of the time, this is possible if the structure is relatively new. If however the old security system was installed decades ago, we may need to replace all wiring to ensure your new system works effectively on new cables and wires.
